Alicia Marie Lawrence is an urban contemporary artist working mainly in two-dimensional mediums including painting, drawing and mixed media, though also practicing in the realm of textual art, digital media, photography, and film. Alicia has shown her art in solo exhibitions at the Saanich Municipal Hall, Koffi and Street Level Espresso in Victoria, and Bean Around the World in Vancouver. Her work has been included in juried group exhibitions including Narrative Lines and Between the Lines at the Ontario College of Art + Design, Strong Women, Strong World in Victoria, BC, and It’s a Small World at the Coast Collective Gallery. Her artwork in published in SAD Magazine, Discorder Magazine, Paragon Journal and Branch Magazine, among others, and her photography is included in Anna Banana: 45 Years of Fooling Around with A. Banana. Alicia is as interested in process, technique and aesthetic, as statement, and continually explores the relation between artist, subject and viewer.
